Scarlet Begonia, daughter of Cheech and Millie, joined our family in October 2015. She was a bundle of personality and sass from the get go. Scarlet was the epitome of a cat, having boundaries that were well known and if crossed were made known by her famous growl-hiss combo. Of course, as the ones closest to her, we knew her hiss was harsher than her heart and her personality made us love her even deeper. She had several silly nicknames: Scarla Marla Warla, Scarlet Be-go-go, Scarletta, Scarlatina, and our Fat Bottom Girl. Her unique positions and actions made her the subject of many, many pictures and videos. Scarlet, being an avid outdoor explorer-vermin hunter, even got herself posted on the Humane Society page a few times. One time in particular she was thought to be a possible runaway who in reality was simply sunbathing on the local bike path. Scarlet Begonia was just a cool cat, a sassafras of sorts, a juggernaut of joy. She left our family too early and too quickly. Our family loved her so very much and miss her presence in our home every day.
