Harley moved with me across the midwest, from Wisconsin to Indiana to Kentucky and back to Wisconsin. He loved car trips and had even gone thru the Cincinnati airport once. He loved to eat, run and really hated storms. He liked camping with the family, as long as he was with you. Harley would spend hours sleeping in a sunny spot, and snuggle under blankets at night. He was also like an alarm clock: 4:30am he was ready to go for the day. He would ring a bell to go outside...even ring it just to go lay in the sun.
He always needed a leash or fence, any opportunity he would bolt to check out the neighborhood. We have several memories retrieving him from many blocks away.
And, he'd definitely let you know if anyone was at or near the house. He was a good watchdog.
Harley became the protector and best friend to 2 kids for years, Eli & Coalie. They dressed him up for halloween and taught him tricks. The kids loved to walk him and tuck him in at night.
Super smart dog, very high energy, tough and loyal.
We will miss him.
