Delilah "Del" Wesenberg

I will always remember the night my heart broke into a million pieces, it was Monday, July 1st, 2019....the night I had to let you go. You and I fought so hard to keep you here... your beautiful soul and warrior spirit kept us both going for longer than I thought we could be together. It wasn't enough time; but my love for you couldn't let you struggle any longer. Your snuggle buddy Thor misses you a lot; along with the rest of the crew. I miss you so very much; I miss everything about you: the way you "talked" all the time, how you attacked the water, chased the birds out of the yard, how you got the zoomies and ran in crazy laps, how you did your "one note" bark at every motorcycle you heard go down the highway....I miss your snore, your snuggles, even miss your noxious farts, how much you loved treats, and how you loved to chase the laser light. I miss singing your song to you 'Hey There Delilah', watching you sleep, rubbing your ears, hearing you breathe and how hard you tried to play even towards the end....so yeah...I miss everything, well except for the poop eating, Del...I don't miss that - that is disgusting. It is hard getting used to not having my nightly thought run through my head, "Please give us one more day..." to whomever out there is listening. With a broken heart I am sending you all the hugs, kisses and love Del...wish you were here...but am glad you are no longer suffering. Rest in peace my bestest, most beautiful girl.
